Session Description

Moderator – Dan Whitzer

Dan Whitzer, Senior Innovation Analyst at Independence Blue Cross, is a Philly-area native who prides himself on his ability to ideate. Fittingly, his career path – which includes having toured as a professional drummer as well as stints at ESPN, Spencer’s and Thomas Jefferson University before assuming his current role in 2018 – has been just as diverse as his creative way of thinking.

At Independence, Dan is responsible for curating content and programming that highlights innovation throughout the Organization and Philadelphia in fun, relatable and relevant ways. Never one for downtime, he also hosts a web series called ‘The Spin’ and is a member of the B. PHL Innovation Festival leadership team, which launched in 2019.

Outside of work, Dan owns a production company. He credits his wife, Jessi, and daughter, Posie, as his inspiration both personally and professionally. Luckily for him, they both share in his love of music + adventure!

Kristin Aldrich

Kristyn Aldrich is co-founder of ASAP! Creative Management, an agency that shapes the way consumers relate to brands through strategic experience and event design.

With a passion for making the world a more connected place and having fun while doing it, Kristyn has spent the last 15 years creating meaningful consumer experiences for clients like Verizon, General Motors, The United Nations, and the Philadelphia 76ers. She has also played an integral role in the strategy, design and management of several Philadelphia-wide, initiatives including PoliticalFest for the 2016 Democratic National Convention Host Committee and the inaugural BPHL Innovation Festival founded by Independence Blue Cross.

A Temple University Alum and Philadelphia transplant by way of the Washington DC Area, Kristyn loves empowering other minority and women business owners, listening to trap music and spending time with her 3-year-old son, Knox.

Chill Moody

Chill Moody cemented his status as one of the top lyricists & performers to hit Philadelphia in years when he won “Best Rapper” in Philadelphia Magazine’s annual “Best of Philly” issue. He was also named Philadelphia’s Music Ambassador by Councilman David Oh, due to his tireless efforts to "put the city on" as well as his local & national accomplishments over the years. A West Philadelphia native, his lifestyle brand “nicethings” now includes clothing line, consulting firm, a record label (nicethingsMUSIC), and even a line of craft beer (nicethingsIPA x nicethingsCREAMALE two collaborations with Dock Street Brewery). He recently partnered with Philly R&B singer Donn T to start a new group called “&More (Chill Moody & Donn T)” debuting their “Ethel Bobcat” album on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series.

Kevin Chemidlin

Kevin Chemidlin’s journey as a podcaster began in May 2018 when he launched Philly Who?, the podcast telling the stories of the doers, thinkers, and performers of Philadelphia. Since then, the show has amassed thousands of downloads and has become one of the most popular podcasts in Philadelphia, according to Billy Penn. Chemidlin has since founded a podcast production company, Cue9, which is now in production on several different podcasts spanning a wide range of topics and genres.
